The Sandhurst Hotel is a 70 room independent hotel in Fort Pierce, FL. Newly reopened and debranded from a Holiday Inn Express after the 2004 hurricanes, the Sandhurst Hotel was ranked fifth out of seven area competitive hotels in Fort Pierce for RevPAR in 2006. The Providence Group was engaged at the end of 2006 to help increase market share, increase occupancy, and increase RevPAR as well as to control costs and spending.

At the end of the first year, occupancy increased from 43% to 55%. RevPAR increased from 54.90 to 62.32. Our RevPAR ranking grew from fifth out of seven to ranking first out of seven. The successful strategy was to drop rates to remain more competitive with area hotels, while still pricing strategically for waterfront location. Total revenues increased by $190,000 and GOP increased by $287,000 from 2006
